An Opportunity came up, we all went with it, and somehow,
someway, we were able to pull this thing off in just five
days prep to finish. It was a whirlwind and I am so happy
to show you my very first video -- directed by the fabulous
Matt Singleton. And I’m even more excited to tell
you to look for a special cameo of one of my lifelong
musical influences who completely stunned me when she
graciously agreed to be in my version of her truly amazing
classic, Rose Garden. Thank you, lovely Ms. Anderson.

Most of the civilized world, at least those with a cable
TV set, may recognize Jennifer Hicks with her successful
stint on Season 2 of USA Network's hit reality show Nashville
Star -- a country music take on American
Idol. Welcomed exposure that some, if not most, country
singers can't boast about.
Out of nearly 21,000 hopefuls, Jennifer's unique voice
and star quality made her an obvious choice for the Top
20. Tens of millions of votes were cast across America
over the nine week season; ultimately landing Jennifer
in the Final 5 and the last female standing. While on
the show, Jennifer was featured in national magazines
TV Guide, Country Weekly, and Country Music Today. Jennifer
continues to pursue new projects and is now touring across
the U.S. and Canada promoting her indie album, "Lost
In The Magic". |

Jennifer Hicks combines elements of rootsy-country and
breezy 70's California melodies into a style that is uniquely
her own. With some of Nashville's biggest names as believers
and as a staff songwriter at Warner/Chappell Publishing
for 4 years, Jennifer has had the freedom to experiment
and define her own personal artistic style. Along the
way she has shared some of her songs with fellow artists.
Now with the addition of her father Russ Hicks, renowned
steel guitarist of seminal 70's alternative country heroes
Barefoot Jerry, jennifer has finally found her sound proving
the old adage that the answer is never farther than your
own backyard. |
